General Information
NMD (formerly Norwegian Oceanographic Data Centre) is hosted by the Institute of Marine Research (IMR), Norway’s largest research institute in the marine field. It is Norway’s national oceanographic data centre within the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission’s network, and acts as Norway’s focal point for international oceanographic data exchange. NMD’s data bases are fully incorporated in IMR’s. Therefore, some data held in these bases are of restricted availability.
