General Information
The ISMAR Calibration Laboratory – ISC-Lab provides support to technical and scientific personnel carrying out research at sea in performing measurements of seawater chemical-physical variables. The laboratory has been set up with the aim of constantly guaranteeing high-quality levels in collected data, in line with international standards of excellence recognized in the field of physical oceanography. The ISC-Lab is intended as a resource for all research institutes for calibration of advanced oceanographic instrumentation, such as CTD probes (conductivity, temperature and pressure sensors) and dissolved oxygen sensors in seawater.
Support offered to AQUARIUS users
- Remote: the presence of the user or user group is not required at any time during the access period
- Partially remote: the presence of the user or user group is required at some stage
- In-person (“hands-on”): the presence of the user or user group is required/recommended during the whole access period. This is the preferred access mode
- Unit of access: The unit access to the laboratory infrastructure is 1 week (5 working days)
- Support offered: An expert team consisting in CNR-ISMAR technicians and scientists supports accurate calibrations of instrumentation and sensors for the seawater variables, temperature, conductivity and salinity
