AQUARIUS will be participating in the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025, held in Vienna, Austria, from 27 April to 2 May. Organised by Europe’s leading organisation for Earth, planetary, and space science research, the EGU General Assembly is an ideal event to hold the first info session on the second AQUARIUS Funding Call, which opens on 2 September 2025. This major event draws over 20,000 scientists from around the world and features sessions across a wide range of disciplines, including oceanography.
AQUARIUS will be represented in the exhibition area of the EGU General Assembly 2025, sharing an information booth with its sister project, POLARIN. The booth will feature a variety of materials about the AQUARIUS project, including information on the upcoming funding call for access to research infrastructures. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with members of the AQUARIUS team from the Marine Institute, AWI and Seascape Belgium, learn more about the project and ask questions related to the application process, infrastructure catalogue, eligibility criteria, and other key aspects.
In addition, AQUARIUS will be featured in a poster session on 28 April from 16:15 to 18:00 in Hall X4. The poster will be presented by project coordinator Aodhán Fitzgerald. The session will provide attendees with a more in-depth overview of the project and its goals. Further details are available here.
